1989
Giovanni De Simone founded the Dema shoe factory.
It began as a family-run company producing tubular moccasins and drivers under its own brand, serving the domestic market.
1994
The internationalization process begins, reaching its peak in 2001 when the company expands into new international markets.
2008
The first collaboration with a luxury brand begins.
The production for this brand continues to focus on moccasins and drivers.
2014
Dema gains recognition for its sneaker production.
In the same year, collaborations with other major luxury brands begin.
2021
From the need to streamline and further internalize production processes, the Alinea upper factory was born, owned by Dema.
2023
Dema becomes part of the HModa Group.
SINCE 2021
Alinea, Dema’s partner upper manufacturer, is a place where tradition and quality meet innovation in footwear production.
The company specializes in the stitching process for sneakers and casual shoes such as loafers, ankle boots, and sandals.
Alinea also carries out the following processes in-house: cutting, upper preparation, edge smoothing and dyeing, stitching, hand threading, and quality control.
